Civic Service - September 28th 2008 at
St. Peter's Church, Broughton
Mr. Henry Butter welcomed the congregation to the Civic Service at the
lovely church of St. Peter's , Broughton on September 28th, 2008.
The new
Vicar Reverend Jonathon Eades officiated and the Parish Council was honoured to
have the Mayor of Stafford, Councillor Mrs. Ann Edgeller join
them.

Lessons
were read by Parish Council Chairman, Gordon Dale
and Vice-Chairman, John Allen followed by a topical sermon from Rev.
Eades. There was a good attendance with many community groups and
organisations represented.
Many thanks to the members of the congregation who supplied and served
the refreshments and everyone who participated.
The Parish Council would also like to thank Mr Henry Butter for
his assistance in organising the event.
Refreshments were served following the
service at Broughton Parish Rooms.
