Civic Service - November 25th 2007  at St. Chad’s Church, Slindon

Mr. David Milner welcomed the congregation to the Civic Service at the lovely church of St. Chad’s, Slindon on November 25th, 2007.

Vicar James Graham officiated and the Parish Council was honoured to have the Deputy Mayor of Stafford, Councillor Mrs. Christine Baron join them.

Mr. Richard Downs gave an introductory reading to a full church, which was followed by lessons read by  Parish Council Chairman, Gordon Dale and Vice-Chairman, John Allen.

Many thanks to the members of the congregation who supplied and served the refreshments and everyone who participated.

The Parish Council would also like to thank Mr and Mrs. M. Smith for assisting with parking arrangements

The Civic Service in 2008 will be held at Broughton C of E Church on Sunday September 28th at 11a.m.
